1st Preview Tonight

Yesterday we slept in late. When we got up I looked for a copy shop and found one on West Maitland. We went there and got 500 programs copied for £40. Then stopped at an internet place (they are all over) and checked email. Afterwards we went back and got some groceries.

At 7:30 the cast met to discuss assignments and Dave stressed the importance of everyone doing their job quickly. It was hectic. Most of the cast walked over to the venue and the show ahead of ours was running a little bit late. Trying to get the laptops booted and set up along with everything else was a real challenge.

The cast did a real good job during the runthrough. The tech was still problematic, however. It looks like we are just going to dump the mics and sing old school. There were some problems with the projector as well that Dave was going to iron out today.

Tonight is our first preview with an audience, so that will be good to get the cast's energy up. Still waiting to get posters and flyers. Junel and I walked down the Royal Mile and did some shopping. She found some nice Christmas ornaments at a little shop there.

That's all for now.....

Dave Hamilton sent the following comments by email to LTCC:

Hello all,

Well we open the show tonight for our first preview. Everyone and everything got here intact. The pubs have taken a slight toll, but everyone is on track for the opening. Our one tech rehearsal was a basic nightmare, (the cast was fine, we just had little success with our technologies) but we have recovered and feel it should go well tonight. By our "official" opening on Sunday, we should have everything tweaked and ready.
I'll fill you in again as we go.
I'm checking e-mail sporadicly, so better to not reply to this and fill up my box.
Just send money.

Cheers!
